Saxophonist, Dan Friel, recieved a B.A. in music education with a concentration in jazz studies in May 2004.  Dan has been a late addition to Wabisabi and contributes a strong jazz influence.  Dan’s primary musical influence has been Charlie Parker, but has also been influenced by James Brown, Maceo Parker, Eddie Harris, and others.  He toured Germany with the Temple University Big Band and recorded an album with them entitled Mean What You Say.  He currently teaches elementary music and private woodwind lessons.
